Premade pasta sauce save a lot of time in the preparation of this lasagna.  The total prep time is about 20 minutes, and it takes 45 minutes to bake.  Despite the total time of an hour, this is still the quickest homemade lasagna I have been able to find.  Enjoy.

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 12 oz. package frozen spinach – thawed
  • 2 jars spaghetti sauce
  • 1 package (13.25 oz.) whole wheat lasagna noodles
  • 8 oz. mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese shredded
  • 15 oz. ricotta cheese
  • 1T oregano
  • 1T basil
  • 1 egg

Cook noodles according to package.  Boil water in a large stockpot enough to cook all noodles together.

Brown turkey in a large skillet.  Add onion.  Sauté until onions are transparent.  Add spinach and 1.5 jars spaghetti sauce. 20150827_181547
